The individual slots are where my best technical work happens with an athlete. No distractions, no noise - just you and them, fully present. They look you in the eye and the quality of communication goes up alot.
If you have video feedback, it only enhances that time. You both learn. Honestly, every week I spot something new on the cameras when I’m working one-to-one. Sometimes I see it myself; other times the athlete explains something through my questioning and it unlocks a new layer of understanding.
I’m constantly learning about technique through these slots. Do it - it’s one of my favourite coaching exercises and the return on the investment is huge.
